What volunteer position(s) do you participate in at Plain City Elementary?

I currently volunteer as Mrs. Klenowski's room rep, a library helper, and listen to awesome readers in Mrs. Fuller's class. This year I have also helped with COSI on Wheels, Sweetheart Dance, and the Book Fair.

What prompted you to volunteer and what keeps you coming back?

My two children, a second grader and a fourth grader, love to see me volunteering at the school. I also enjoy the "Hi Mrs. Kidd" and hugs I receive from some of the students.

What is your most fond volunteer memory in dealing with the students at PCES?

Volunteering at the Sweetheart Dances the last three years have been very memorable. Seeing my daughter and husband together on a special date and getting to experience a little of it with them was very special. 

Can you describe a time when you knew your efforts were making a difference for the teachers and/or children of PCES?

One morning when walking in the hallway at the school, a little girl said, "Mrs. Kidd, are you going to be in the library today? It is my library day." When I told her I was, her smile made my heart pitter patter! J

What would you tell someone that is thinking about volunteering at PCES?

Volunteering at the school is very rewarding and our kids love to know we have a part in making Plain City Elementary such a GREAT school.
